First off Ainge doesn't get credit for KG being served on a platter to Boston. Mchale did that because he is an idiot. The Celtics would have been out on the first round against Atlanta last year if it wasn't for KG. To be factual they wouldn't have been in position to play Atlanta and would have been swept by Cleveland if they were lucky in the first round.

I am also BEYOND sick of the Walker bashing Boston feels the need to do. Walker worked his butt off for the Celtics. ALWAYS played hard before and after Jim O'Brien and never was given any credit for what he accomplished in Boston.
Walker played hurt and he never quit. These are qualities he had from his childhood NOT from Jim freaking O'Brien.

Never played the game the right way is complete crap. Celtics fans give Boston a bad name. You spout BS from Bob Ryan like you know what you are talking about when fact is you either fanatically followed Pierce from Kansas or showed up last year. You wouldn't know what the celtics were about if it hit you in the .....

Obie wan whatever is a perfect example of how stupid celtics fans are.

The celtics won a title last year and yet they still feel the need to bad mouth Antoine. It defied logic.

.

The only thing positive O'Brien did in Boston is get Pierce and Walker to play hard. Too bad he never got them to play the game right.

Rodney Rogers and Tony Delk were brought in because those are the kind of players O'Brien needed for his offense. A bunch of outside chuckers with no basketball skills other than shooting three pointers. Worst part is, they weren't even that good at shooting them. And what did they give up to get those two stiffs? JOE JOHNSON!!!! O'Brien wasn't even smart enough to recognize an all-star when he had him at practice every day of the year.

There are lots more examples of sillyness in this piece, but the biggest one is about Ainge being yound and inexperienced. No, Ainge was young and intelligent. He knows how the game should be played and what it takes to be a winning team. And he knew the team Jim O'Brien had put together here had no clue how to properly play the game or how to win, mostly because the coach himself had no clue. The proof is in the pudding. Ainge acquired enough pieces to construct a championship winner. O'Brien has been a failure everywhere else he's gone.

Wow! I thought i was alone on this. Not saying that his coaching style is a fit for every team but I thought he was incredibly professional and got the most out of what he had here.

Plus, he's Jack Ramsey's son in law.
